10% carbamide peroxide is the gentle option, ideal for sensitive teeth and overnight wear (around 8 to 10 hours). 16% works faster in shorter daily sessions (around 1.5 to 6 hours). Both deliver real, lasting results.
2. Choose your brand
Opalescence PF by Ultradent is a sticky, sustained-release gel sold in packs of two syringes. Pola Night by SDI is a high-water, neutral-pH gel sold by the syringe. Both contain potassium nitrate and fluoride to reduce sensitivity and protect enamel.
3. Apply the gel
Place a small amount of gel into a custom whitening tray, seat the tray on your teeth and wear it for the recommended time. Remove the tray, rinse and brush gently afterwards.
4. See your results
Most people notice a visible difference within one to two weeks of consistent use. For the best results, avoid strongly coloured food and drink during your treatment.
